The 8305A K-Beam accelerometer series utilizes a three layer silicon micro-machined variable capacitance sensing element designed for measurements of low level acceleration in a steady state or low frequency environment. They are fully calibrated sensors with all excitation and signal conditioning electronics integrated into a single package. K-Beam accelerometers provide a high level output signal with excellent long-term stability. They are insensitive to thermal transients and transverse acceleration.

The 8324A K-Beam accelerometer utilizes a variable capacitance sensing element. This high performance accelerometer is ideally suited for applications requiring the measurement of high level acceleration in adverse environments. The 8324 has excellent frequency response exceeding 700 Hz (-3dB) and can survive shock exposure over 5,000g peak. Both types are insensitive to thermal transients and transverse acceleration. The sensing element and conditioning electronics are integrated into a single lightweight, hermetically sealed titanium housing. Ground isolation is provided by an insulator plate permanently bonded to the housing.

Piezotron® Acoustic Emission Sensor with built-in impedance converter for measuring acoustic emission (AE) above about 50 kHz in machine structures. With its small size, it mounts easily near the source of emission and captures the signal optimally. The sensor has a very rugged housing, welded tight (degree of protection IP65 resp. IP67). The small sensor may easily be mounted nearly everywhere: a M6-bolt is all that is needed.

Kistler Model 8694M1 Piezotron® Miniature Triaxial Accelerometers
The 8694M1 Piezotron® triaxial accelerometer essentially consists of three individual sensor elements mounted in an orthogonal configuration with each containing a quartz-crystal measuring assembly, a seismic mass and an integrated impedance converter. The quartz assembly located between the sensor body and the seismic mass is preloaded by a flexible member. The electrical charge yielded by each quartz crystal meauring element is directly proportional to that portion of the acceleration signal incident on the sensor's mounting surface.

The 8778A500 and the 8778A500M14 are high frequency, ultra miniature, light weight accelerometers with built-in electronics, providing a low impedance voltage output. Integrated Electronic PiezoElectric (IEPE) sensor electronics minimize cable noise and eliminates the need for highly insulated cables. The standard 8778A500 accelerometer includes an integral Teflon jacketed 3 ft. (0.9 m) long cable terminated with a 10-32 neg. connector while the M14 version features a field replaceable twisted wire pair and connector.

The 8838 and 8840 are a novel complement of shear mode sensors that are designed to respond to two distinctly different forms of induced oscillations. The internal orientation of the quartz elements enables the 8838 accelerometer to respond to oscillations occuring about the unit's mounting axis when installed in a non-rotating test application. The element structure of the 8840 accelerometer is such that the unit will accurately measure the acceleration magnitude of oscillations laterally induced to its mounting base.

The model 8810 K-Guard is a stand-alone electronic vibration monitoring device that guards machinery against excessive vibration levels caused by imbalance, misalignment, looseness, worn bearings, etc. When high vibration levels are detected, a relay is activated that can be used for machine shutdown or to warn the operator of potential danger. Unlike mechanical switches, the 8810 features high accuracy, reliability and protects against false triggering.

Kistler Model 8921 Reference Shaker
The Type 8921 provides an accurate controlled vibration level to verify the sensitivity of vibration sensors or the complete measuring system. The internal control and excitation system provides a constant, exact frequency while a closed loop control maintains a constant amplitude independent of the mass of the test article. Should the test article exceeds the capacity of the shaker, the unit provides an audible and visual warning to the operator. A self contained, rechargeable battery can power the shaker up to approximately these hours between recharing.
